Health and Safety

At Dental West on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, we take all aspects of health seriously, including epidemiology and public health. We follow and go beyond the CDC’s current guidance because we want you to feel cared for and know that your personal health and safety are primary concerns for us. Upon each patient’s arrival, they:

• have their temperature taken
• have their blood oxygen measured using a pulse oximeter
• fill out a covid questionnaire

Safety During Treatment

All doctors and members of our staff wear masks at all times, and patients wear them until they’re actively in treatment. We also employ:

• high-vacuum suctions during treatment to minimize aerosols
• room ventilation before and after each treatment

Additional Health Measures

In addition to the above measures, Dental West:

• follows strict sterilization procedures
• provides hand sanitizer at the entrance and throughout the office for patients to use
• follows all CDC recommendations and suggestions as well as OSHA rules
• keeps up to date on and follows recommendations from the ADA, NYS Dental Association, and NYS Department of Health
